Our Wranglers

IMG_0138.JPG

Jeannie Lee Hatfield is a Native of Arizona by way of Louisville, Kentucky. Her love of horses began by watching the Kentucky Derby with her Dad and trail riding with her Mom. Jeannie has enjoyed riding as a horse-back tour guide since 1995. Watching our herd take care of guests every day in the beautiful Sonoran Desert inspired her to pursue a degree in Equine Science. Courses focused on equine behavior, anatomy, nutrition and massage. In 2005, Jeannie became Certified as an Equine Massage Therapist, massaging all breeds of horses from any discipline. Equine massage improves performance by relaxing tight muscles, allowing greater range of motion. Being on the back of a horse, helping people experience the pure pleasure of riding and all that is Arizona brings great joy to this Wrangler.

Janet Sanderlin, AKA Helen, has, for the past 25 years, been deeply involved in her career in the horse industry, crossing from the backyard and trails to show rings all over the country. Over time, Janet became a favored show groom, sought after by trainers coast to coast; as well as a rehab assistant to numerous veterinarians. Janet was selected to travel to El Salvador to help a missionary seek horses for the mission's children's camp.

Janet continued her journey, exploring the equine and pet retail industry and began excelling in finding the right solution for each customer. This is when she discovered many natural alternative solutions for pain relief. With a God given knack for finding the most natural, Janet began exploring alternative solutions to a myriad of problems with many types of pets.

Now on the days when she's not on the back of a horse, Janet offers reliable pet care service for the locals. Pet pain relief has become a passionate focus and it brings Janet joy to help even in the worst cases.

With a powerful love for nature and a great sense of humor (she is always seeking new jokes to share!), she has developed a diverse knowledge base of plants and animals along with a smattering of local Indian history. At the MTM, Janet has returned to the saddle, where she belongs.
